  1. We visited the Houma, LA store today looking for very specific things. Aric waited on us and was most helpful. And he was fun to work with. I will definitely ask for Aric the next time I shop at Academy.

I was treated really well. the sales clerk, RILEY RUHL, was very nice and very attentive, the only thing wrong the computer system at the store was not working properly, and she was unable to call out at the west Monroe, la. location. therefore she was unable to complete the order the way we had wanted it done. she tried numerous times to no avail……thanks.

Visited the beaumont tx store it took 30 minutes for someone in the fishing dept.to ask if I needed help once I told him what I was looking for help said he would Chek to see if they have anymore after another 15 minutes he never showed back up after walking around I saw him waiting on another customer. He never came back

  4. I was shopping for ladies shoes, and asked the shoe dept manager about width sizes on the boxes. He asked Joe to help me. Joe was the most courteous, helpful person, who went out of his way to assist me. I am elderly and had many ankle surfers, so bendint it is a problem. Joe got the shoes I picked out, the sizes, and put my inserts in each pair I tried on, and waited so patiently while I made up my mind on 2 pair. He helped me in putting the shoes on and if it were not for him, I probably could not have found my sizes and thus not purchased any. You need more like Joe who goes the extra mile, with patience, courtesy, and a smile. I was extremely pleased.

  5. Visited Academy store in West Monroe, La.
    at checkout I asked the clerk ‘Barb’ if Academy offered any veteran discount. She said sorry, no the store does not participate in any such program.

    I would humbly suggest that Academy Sports Stores look into the policy of offering veterans a discount to shop at your stores. It certainly would influence me and several friends to make the extra effort going the longer distance to shop there.
