  1. I am not seeking a gift card or REWARD for this comment. I visited the Walmart store (4887) on 3/4/17 at 1130 Highway 77, Bridgeton, NJ 08302, when a fellow customer and daughter (age 8-10?) who was riding her skateboard that got away from her made me suddenly stop walking to avoid the skateboard hitting my legs. The only reason the girl caught up with her skateboard was because the shelving stopped it. The girl grabbed her skateboard up and dashed by me again and with skateboard now in her hand talked with her mother, Neither the mother nor her child said anything to me as they walked by me. I followed them to see that the child had again boarded her skateboard holding on to her mother’s cart and riding her skateboard in the store’. They were on their way to checkout. I went to the manager’s office wherein the door was open and two workers were involved in a discussion’ I had knocked on the open door, excused myself and started giving a report on my experience in the store. One of the employees stated that unless she sees them riding the skateboard she cannot say anything to them. I was surprised at her remark and reiterated that I did not know that Walmart allowed skateboarding in their stores and I asked the young woman her name which she blurted out loudly that her name is !A LOTTA! and that unless she sees them skateboarding she would not say anything to them. She also stated that anyone can say that they saw them stealing but if she did not see them stealing they would not say anything to them, Did I say anything to them? I told Alotta that it was not my place to say anything to a fellow customer about Walmart’s skateboarding rules/regulations. Alotta was argumentative to me and I felt that she was missing the point of it all. (Even so, I’m thinking cameras? aren’t there cameras?) At any rate, I motioned to the fact that the woman and girl were almost checked out. I stepped within sight of them when Alotta said to me that accidents happen and I quickly said please do not talk down to me and Alotta said “well you have a good day!” Alotta stepped outside her office to see the woman and the child who WAS SKATEBOARDING HOLDING ON TO HER MOTHER’S CART THROUGH A CROWD OF PEOPLE. I heard Alotta say to the skateboarder something to the effect that she can not skateboard in the store. I am 73 years old and really don’t want any broken bones especially from a skateboard hitting me in a store–a Walmart store???? I recommend that Walmart post danger signs warning seniors–i.e. ALL CUSTOMERS to look out for loose skateboarding in their stores based upon my experience. Nonetheless, please give Alotta some additional customer service classes/lessons.
